Just over the past handful of years, Osceola’s East Lake Park has undergone a facelift like no other recreational camping area in south central Iowa. Scott Kent, Director of Clarke County Conservation will be taking the next exciting development to the Clarke County Supervisors for a vote of support. The Education center is on the final stages for financial approval and community support will play a big part in making this development happen.

Osceola Water Works board recently approved an increase the water conservation ordinance to Section 2, addressing ongoing drought conditions throughout the community. This ordinance means further conservation efforts will be required from all Osceola Water Works customers.

Clarke County Hospital’s “Grow Your Own” initiative recently received some support and encouragement through a generous donation from The Telligen Group out of Des Moines. In partnership with SWCC, CCH developed the program to offer Health Occupations and Certified Nursing Assistant classes to CCSD students.
