Lakeside Hotel Casino recently underwent $4,000,000 in property enhancements including the introduction of DRF Sportsbook. If you haven’t been to Lakeside Hotel Casino in a while, it is time to make your return. Recent changes to the facility have brought not only a new look
, but ambiance, to this “Southern Iowa Gem”.
As you walk into the property, visitors are greeted with all new décor and lighting that is very welcoming and bright. The property’s restaurant and bar have been fully renovated, featuring an array of choices, from mouth-watering burgers to prime rib. Lakeside has also added a coffee shop serving Starbuck’s coffee products.
Speaking of the many enhancements, the sportsbook area has undergone some big changes, with DRF Sportsbook upgrading the previous sportsbook venue on the property. The new DRF Sportsbook now features luxury stadium-style seating and an impressive state-of-the-art video wall that is guaranteed to give sports fans the best viewing experience in Southern Iowa. These recent renovations mark the beginning of many more great improvements coming to Lakeside Hotel Casino. In 2022, they intend to begin the renovation on the casino floor.
Casino revenue has been instrumental in the advancement of several different projects in Clarke County. Since the casino opened in 2000, Clarke County Development Corporation (CCDC), as the license holder for the casino, has granted to various non-profit organizations and community projects. In recent years these have included the creation of a trail system in Osceola, donations to Families First for students in need, improvements and equipment for both Clarke and Murray Schools, donations to the Clarke County Hospital, improvements to The Village Childcare facility, and more. The CCDC offers grant programs to non-profit organizations in Clarke County.
