Clarke County Hospital and the Clarke County Conservation Board are partnering to host the 3rd Annual Earth Day 5K Run/Walk and Kids Nature Walk on Saturday, April 21 at 10 AM. This year’s event will be held at East Lake Park in Osceola, IA.
The 5k run/walk will start and finish at the Prairie Flower Shelter in East Lake Park. Event check-in opens at 9 AM with the 5k run/walk and kids walk beginning at 10 AM. The registration fee for the 5K run/walk is $30. Register on or before Sunday, April 15th to receive an event t-shirt and gift bag. The Kids Nature Walk is $15 and also includes an event shirt and a gift bag. This year’s Nature Walk will feature tree planting, a kid’s 100 meter dash and a special guest appearance by Smokey the Bear! Children will get to meet Smokey while having the opportunity to get their picture taken and receive an autographed Smokey the Bear poster! Only 45 spots are available for the Kids Nature Walk. Adults accompanying children on the nature walk are free.
Online registration will close on Sunday, April 15th. Event day registration will be available starting at 9 AM on Saturday, April 21. Event day registration will not include a t-shirt. Giveaways will be available while supplies last.
