New Multi-Use Pond Project to Expand Outdoor Recreation in Clarke County

Clarke County Conservation is moving forward with development of the new Oakwood Pond, an approximately three-acre public fishing pond and natural habitat restoration project located just eight miles north of Osceola. The project will expand outdoor recreation opportunities, improve erosion control, and restore native prairie habitat through partnerships with CCDC and state and federal funding sources.

CCDC Approves $50,000 Grant to OCMS Building Improvement Program

At the October 8th meeting of the Clarke County Development Corporation board of directors a $50,000 grant was approved to support the Osceola Chamber Main Street Building Improvement Program, helping local business owners make vital repairs and upgrades to keep downtown thriving.
This marks the fourth year of partnership between CCDC and OCMS—fueling community growth, preserving historic character, and ensuring our business district continues to shine.
