Each fall, the Clarke County Development Corporation (CCDC) organizes and hosts the Community Non-Profit Forum, offering local organizations a platform to network, share their achievements, and outline their plans for the upcoming year. At this event, local nonprofits and community groups are invited to highlight their biggest successes from 2024 and share their primary goals for 2025.
This event is an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about the valuable work done by these organizations. It also allows directors and organizers to connect with one another, fostering relationships that can help strengthen their impact in the community.
Clarke County is home to many dedicated individuals making a difference, and this forum ensures their stories are heard. By hosting this event, CCDC gives others in the community the chance to learn from and potentially benefit from the efforts of these volunteers.
As an added benefit, organizations in attendance will be entered in a drawing for $5,000.
“This is the third year the CCDC has held the drawing for $5,000,” said Andrew Clark, CCDC Executive Director. “It’s an outstanding way to seed programming for the upcoming year.”
Started in 2014, the Community Non-Profit Forum has become an important occasion for participating organizations and those they serve. It provides a valuable opportunity to promote awareness about local programs. Nonprofit organizers and volunteers are encouraged to take part and ensure their voices are included.
In addition to the forum, participants will be featured in the Community Development Handbook. This resource lists contact information and mission details for each nonprofit, offering a free and valuable tool for the community.
