Veto Message:
Pursuant to the powers and duties of the office of Mayor found in Chapter 15.02(4) of the City of
Osceola Code of Ordinances, I hereby veto the action taken by the Osceola City Council on
February 20, 2024 regarding the closure of the Fern Underwood Family Aquatic Center.
My decision to veto this action is based on a desire to see the City take more time to exhaust all
possible options before the March 1st deadline to proceed with the aquatic center rehabilitation.
