The Clarke County Emergency Management Agency received notification that they are the recipient of a Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation grant. The Agency requested funding for a Polaris Ranger with a Rescue skid valued up to $22,296.84.
The Agency requested this equipment as we are a very rural community and a popular destination for hunting and fishing. May individuals engage in activities far from a road surface an may become a victim. The rescue skid allows emergency responders to safely secure and transport a patient to an ambulance.
With Emergency Management being a support function to all Public Departments in the County the Ranger can be utilized by all partners. Our various community events and ever-expanding trail system allows all public safety departments the use and flexibility to deliver services. Interchangeable placards will allow whatever Agency is utilizing the equipment to be identified.
The Agency will be submitting funding request to the Clarke County Development Corporation to round out this project with a trailer, graphics, and equipment upfitting. The Agency is proud to partner with the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation as they continue to support Public Safety all over the Country.
