Beginning in the Summer of 2023, Osceola’s Mayor, Thomas Kedley started holding a set of frequent meetings to discuss City business and hear community feedback. These meetings were intended to be open and without an agenda so those who wanted to discuss City business with Mayor Kedley could do so with ease and transparency. The meetings between August and the end of 2023 discussed topics ranging from ordinance changes for livestock to the current water crisis and Osceola’s Comprehensive Plan.
“These meetings really give the public the chance to have frank discussions outside the restrictions of organized City Council meetings.” said Kedley. “In 2024 I hope to see more people take advantage of the open time.”
Mayoral Town Hall Discussions will be held at a regular, scheduled time and will be open to the public.
WHEN: The first Tuesday of every month
TIME: From 5:30pm-6:30pm
WHERE: Osceola City Hall – 115 N Fillmore St, Osceola, IA 50213
