Public Works- Waste Water Operator

Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled trades, equipment operation and ongoing problem solving tasks directly related to the operation, maintenance and repair of the physical facilities, equipment and related support systems used in the municipal wastewater collection, treatment and distribution systems to ensure compliance with IDNR standards.  A full job description and complete list of duties, requirements, and working conditions can be found in City Hall.  Starting salary is $18.05/hr.  The City of Osceola is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  Position is opened until filled.

Seasonal Employment: 

Family Aquatic Center: Deadline is Wednesday, April 24th.

Manger: 

Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and certified in CPR and Basic First Aid. Orients and trains staff, organizes swim lessons, schedules events, and etc. A complete list of responsibilities are available at Park & Recreation office.

Assistant Manger: 

Must be seventeen (17) years of age or older and Certified in CPR and Basic First Aid. Assists in the operation and maintenance of the facility. Functions as Manager in his/her absence. Certified.Certifiable in Lifeguard Training. A Complete list of responsibilities are available at Parks & Recreation office.

Concession Manager: 

Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. Directly operates and maintains the Concession Area at the Facility and Certified in CPR and Basic First Aid. Must have thorough knowledge of all aspects of a concession area. A Complete list of responsibilities are available at the Parks & Recreation Office.

Shift Manager: 

Must be sixteen (16) years of age or older and certified in CPR and Basic First Aid. Assists in operation and maintenance of the Facility. A Complete list of responsibilities are available at the Parks and Recreation Office.

Lifeguards: 

Must be fifteen (15) years old and certified/certifiable by American Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America, or YMCA before June 1, 2019. Also must be certified/certifiable before June 1st in CPR and Basic First Aid.

Concession Staff: 

Limited number of individuals dealing directly with the food service aspect of the facility.

Parks and Cemetery: Deadline is Friday, March 15th 

Parks and Cemetery Grounds Maintenance: 

Must be sixteen (16) years old and hold valid driver’s license. Experience with mowing equipment, trimmers and mechanical ability preferred.
