Clarke County has a new County Supervisor!

Dean Robins has lived in Clarke County his whole life, where he and his wife raised three children. Dean spent the last 34 years with Agriland FS, Inc. in Murray, Iowa. He spent his career working with Southern Iowa growers and farming families, as a Crop Consultant. He has also been a Murray City Council member since 2007.

As he traveled all over Clarke County with Agriland FS, Dean was able to see firsthand where he and the other County Supervisors could be most effective and where they were most needed.

Our plan is to maintain the strength of Clarke County’s economy and to continue to grow the county, grow the communities,” Robins said. “The County Supervisors have made great progress on the infrastructure but one of our biggest ongoing challenges revolves around public health and mental health services in Clarke County.”

Dean was selected from a pool of nine applicants after an intensive interview process. He brings with him valuable knowledge gained from being out in the field and working with the people of Clarke County and his experience as a City Council member. He replaces the late Bill Black, who had held the position of County Supervisor since 2015 before his untimely death in February of this year.

Please welcome Dean Robins to his new position as Clarke County Supervisor! If you have any questions or concerns for Dean or the other Supervisors, call (641) 342-3641 or send an email to clarkebos@clarkecountyiowa.org.
